The history of the Rhein-Weser-Turm is just as fascinating as its construction. Originally planned as a refuge, local community initiatives decided to build this striking landmark. Today, the tower offers visitors a wonderful panoramic view and is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes

.The Rhein-Weser-Turm impresses not only with its height, but also with its construction using regional materials. Since its completion in 1932, this remarkable structure has attracted visitors who want to enjoy the view over the Rothaargebirge and Sauerland.
The Rhein-Weser-Turm is also home to a cross-country skiing center with a cross-country skiing school and ski hire and is the starting point of an extensive, well-maintained network of cross-country ski trails (Rothaarloipe).
