The history of the Rhein-Weser-Turm is just as fascinating as its construction. Originally planned as a refuge, local community initiatives decided to build this striking landmark. Today, the tower offers visitors a wonderful panoramic view and an ideal starting point for numerous hikes.
There is also a restaurant, overnight accommodation and a Tenne that can be rented for celebrations and events.

The Rhein-Weser-Turm is impressive not only for its height, but also for its construction using regional materials. Since its completion in 1932, this remarkable building has attracted visitors who want to enjoy the view over the Rothaargebirge and Sauerland.
The Rhein-Weser-Turm is also home to the cross-country skiing center with cross-country skiing school and ski rental and is the starting point of an extensive, well-maintained network of cross-country trails (Rothaarloipe)
