The castle is the residence of the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg royal family and has been in the family for over 750 years. The castle, inhabited by the noble family, forms the center of the historic old town. Arrival Coming from Winterberg, turn right at the entrance to the village and then immediately left into Hochstraße. Continue straight ahead to Parkstraße/Goetheplatz. The castle is on the right-hand side. Coming from Raumland (B480), turn left after the 2nd set of traffic lights into Schloßstraße. Follow the road to the castle.
