The trailhead for the Skywalk on the Musenberg side is located at the P21 Skywalk Willingen parking lot. This trail, just under 2 km long, leads directly to the suspension bridge.
The final few meters to the bridge entrance are steeper, making the short climb an active start before the view opens up over the impressive low-mountain landscape. The parking lot is managed by the municipality of Willingen as a public parking area and had long been used as a hiking parking lot until it became a permanent fixture with the opening of the Skywalk Willingen.
As a result, P21 is now a key component of Willingen’s tourism infrastructure: practical, well-integrated, and particularly well-suited for independent travelers who wish to explore the Skywalk and the surrounding natural landscape on their own.
