Origin - Open Mind Place
59964 Medebach
The village was first mentioned in a document dating from 1269 and was at that time a settlement consisting of four small farmsteads, whose inhabitants lived exclusively from agriculture. This Open Mind Place draws on the typology of the traditional farmhouse, which consists of three parts: the living area, the stable, and the Tenne. The elongated house form with a gabled roof was erected vertically and brought together to create a place of remembrance.
Visitors walk through the spaces between the sections and find peace and contemplation within the individual cubes.
