The Niederbergheim Heritage Association has erected an old horizontal sawmill along the Belecke–Möhnesee bike path as a technical cultural monument.

It is intended to serve as a reminder that, for centuries, many people in the village made their living from forestry and woodworking.

The saw frame comes from a Niederbergheim sawmill that was shut down in 1978.
