From a threshing floor to a fire station to today's interactive communication center: the development of the Berleburg marketplace and community center is multifaceted. Since 1987, the building has functioned as a concert and theater hall, offering space for group rooms and a multicultural youth center. The community center was expanded in 2012 and converted to make it barrier-free. It has since become a modern meeting place and important contact point for citizens and tourists. Renovation work began in summer 2018 and the modernized building was reopened at the beginning of October 2019, offering a venue for a wide range of events thanks to its multifunctional uses.
