Eresburger Bogenschützen e.V. runs the Marsberg archery course for its members and guest archers on a voluntary basis.
The Marsberg archery course is located on the site of a former copper mine. It covers an area of 5.9 hectares. The terrain is very steep and stony in places, so sturdy footwear is essential. The trail requires a certain level of fitness.
The central point is the "Bogendorf". Here you will find the registration area, the shooting targets with different distances and several huts for resting or sheltering in bad weather. Free lockers are available here for visitors to the archery course (50 cent piece as a deposit stamp).
The courses "RED" with 15 & "YELLOW" with 17 stations including a moving target and over 70 targets offer shots over all distances as well as different shooting angles.
We have tried to make the shots challenging. This includes the deliberate limitation of the shooting areas by e.g. trees as well as the integration of hollows and terrain edges.
There are 3 different shooting positions with IFAA distances available:
All bows are approved up to a draw weight of 60 lbs.
To get to the parking lot in Marsberg, always follow the signs for "Besucherbergwerk Kilianstollen" or "Kilianstollen". The parking spaces for visitors to the archery course are located at the rear of the Kilianstollen visitor parking lot. There are 10 parking spaces available there. IMPORTANT: For the protection of local residents, the "Kattwinkel" road may not be used by visitors to the archery course. From the parking lot you can reach the archery course on foot in about 5 minutes. To do this, walk from the parking lot on the sidewalk to the right in the direction of the city center and then follow the street "Kattwinkel". At the end of the road, turn left onto the course.
