Hiking experiences around the Haincher Höhe
The "Hainchen" hiking parking lot is the starting point for numerous walks and hikes. From here, you can visit the only hilltop moated castle in South Westphalia, the Hainchen moated castle. You can also cross the state border into Hesse to the source of the Dill or take a feeder trail to the Rothaarsteig via a feeder trail. We also recommend the 11.9 km long Sun Trailwhich connects the two villages of Irmgarteichen and Hainchen and passes through the Gernsdorfer Weidekämpe. With the Dilldappenweg is a very special hiking experience for families with children. The 2.9 km long trail leads past a total of ten locations, each equipped with a display board and figure of the mythical creature. Due to the slight incline and the nature of the path, it is easily accessible with a baby carriage.
Further tips:
At the parking lot, you can also start the A 4 circular trail that runs around the Bichelbach spring. After a short walk, you can also join the Netphen circular trail and the Siegerland-Höhenring.
