Heidekopf observation tower

This wonderful excursion destination in Hallenberg awaits you in the middle of nature. Built in 1972, you can only reach it on foot - for example on an unforgettable stage of your hike on the Sauerland-Höhenflug. The strenuous climb through the dense forest is well worth it: at an altitude of around 710 meters, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Rothaargebirge mountains, the Medebach Bay and the vast Hessian highlands. Take a relaxing break at the cozy refuge at the foot of the tower. A tip: you can admire the small replica of the tower from 2006 as a charming sight in Hallenberg's town center.
