The Börde Therme, affectionately known as the 'bathtub of the Ruhrgebiet', is a first-class oasis of well-being.
After almost two years of construction, the spa has been shining in new splendour since 2020: the indoor and outdoor pools have been renovated, modernized and equipped with new attractions. In the sauna area, a new log cabin sauna, a brine floating pool, a new relaxation house and a sauna and relaxation room in the new Gradierwerk have been created.
Letting yourself drift at a water temperature of 33°C is not only relaxing, but also good for your skin and general well-being. Five indoor and outdoor pools with a total water surface area of 1,000 m² offer the opportunity to do just that. A relaxation room and the new summer lounge invite you to relax and unwind in between.
The diverse sauna landscape in the Börde Therme also promises regeneration. Whether Irish-Roman steam bath, Finnish sauna, caldarium or sanarium - regular sauna sessions are a true fountain of health. The new large relaxation house and the 600 m² sauna garden also offer plenty of space for rest and relaxation. Also new are the log cabin sauna and panorama sauna in the outdoor area as well as the sauna in the Gradierwerk with its own relaxation lounge, a relaxation room in the Gradierwerk and a terrace on the Gradierwerk.
Next door, the brine floating pool is a new attraction that is fed with brine from the Gradierwerk. With a salt content of 15 %, you can float here like in the Dead Sea.
Take a deep breath! A visit to the sea salt grotto promises relaxation like a day at the seaside. Rock and sea salt complement each other here to form a particularly effective combination, rich in minerals and trace elements. This natural remedy is particularly recommended for those suffering from respiratory and skin diseases as well as accompanying vegetative symptoms, e.g. restlessness, sleep and non-specific circulatory disorders. The gentle lighting also provides a pleasant respite from everyday stress.
The MedyWell beauty and wellness center in the Börde Therme completes the pampering program with classic massages, lymphatic drainage, themed massages, baths as well as cosmetic and body treatments. Mud packs and mud kneading are also on offer.
Café Sole and the sauna bistro invite you to take a refreshing break with healthy, light snacks and refreshing drinks.
Every 1st Friday of the month from 9.30 pm to midnight, the Börde Therme is transformed into a particularly atmospheric oasis of well-being in the evening hours. Wrapped in a play of light and soothing sounds, guests enjoy swimming in the 33°C warm brine. Every third Saturday of the month from October to April, the Börde Therme also hosts its Sauna Nights (6 p.m. to 1 a.m.) with an atmospheric ambience, relaxing music and a special pampering program.
For those who prefer to be active, the Börde Therme offers underwater gymnastics, aquafitness and aquacycling classes.
