Bilstein Tower
Lookout Point/Observation Tower
The 26-meter-high Bilstein Tower stands 387 meters above sea level and offers a captivating view of the city center, with a vista of Obermarsberg. Built in 1892, it resembles a Rhineland castle. It was designated a historic landmark in 2007.

The Bilstein Tower was completed in 1892 and is a round tower modeled after a Rhineland castle. The tower, featuring a crenellated cross atop a tall quarrystone base on an octagonal floor plan, was built at the initiative of Dr. Rentzing, who later became mayor. On June 25, 2007, it was added to the City of Marsberg’s list of historic monuments.

You can reach the Bilstein Tower via various hiking trails starting from the Marsberg train station. Alternatively, you can drive there via Oesterstraße / K68. Marsberg’s train station is centrally located in the city center.
