During the tour, there is comprehensive information about the geology, the copper deposit and its formation, mining techniques, the smelting of the ores as well as the hard work of the miners and their living conditions.

A guided tour lasts around 2 hours and includes a ride on the mine train. Depending on the number of participants and special interests, it can be shorter or longer.

It is recommended that you wear warm clothing and sturdy shoes during the tour (the temperature in the tunnel is approx. 10 °C).

Guided tours usually take place from April to October every Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. Additionally during the NRW vacations every Wednesday at 2 pm.

Group tours (such as school trips, children's birthday parties, club and company outings) can be booked daily throughout the year by prior arrangement.
