Bad Sassendorf Rose Garden

Eighty varieties of roses create a sea of colors and a flood of fragrances, captivating visitors across an area of nearly 7,000 m². Benches spanned diagonally by rose arches, long paths flanked by simple rose arches, wayside crosses adorned with rose columns, and, at the center, a water basin with a fountain—the classic rose garden is a masterpiece of garden art.

Four rose perennial beds, arranged in a teardrop shape, blend into the grounds at the foot of the Lindenplatz Clinic. With their varying colors and blooming periods, they provide a constant interplay of sensory impressions until the end of August.

Those who wish to linger for a moment to fully savor the view can take a seat in the “Rose Arbour,” located at the highest point of the rose garden. From up there, you’ll have the most beautiful view of the rose garden.

The rose garden comes to an end in the meadows by the pond, where park roses serve as a transition to the rest of the spa park. Here, the large pond is the first feature you’ll encounter.

This is followed by other highlights of the spa park, including the rhododendron garden, numerous sculptures, the new interactive Gradierwerk, and the garden arch.
