Cycling and nature experience combined

Sauerland-Tourism & Sauerland-Seen at the "Fahrrad" trade fair in Essen

Spring marks the start of the cycling season in the Sauerland and the region's lakes are once again inviting visitors to enjoy relaxing excursions as temperatures rise. Whether it's a weekend trip or a spontaneous day trip - now is the perfect time to get inspired. The "Fahrrad" trade fair in Essen offers an ideal opportunity for this, where visitors can find out about the many possibilities in the region at the joint Sauerland-Tourismus and Sauerland-Seen stand from tomorrow until Sunday.

"The 'Fahrrad' trade fair is the ideal stage for us to present our cycling and leisure offers to a wide audience," explains Rouven Soyka, press spokesman for Sauerland-Tourismus. In addition to families and leisure cyclists, sporty, ambitious cyclists will also get their money's worth: mountain bike, road bike and gravel bike fans will find plenty of inspiration for their next adventure in "Germany's most inspiring outdoor region" at the trade fair stand.

A special highlight for nature and water sports enthusiasts is the practical Sauerland-Seen booklet. On 32 pages, it not only provides valuable information on the region's large reservoirs, but also numerous tips for varied activities and tours. Thanks to the integrated folding map, visitors always have an overview, even when on the move. The "Fahrrad" trade fair in Essen thus offers the perfect opportunity to find out first-hand about the Sauerland's diverse range of activities - from relaxed cycling and family excursions to sporting challenges on two wheels.

With around 60,000 visitors over four days and 200 exhibitors every year, the "Fahrrad" trade fair in Essen is Germany's most popular bicycle fair for end consumers. For the tourism industry in the Sauerland, it is therefore an important fixture in the trade fair calendar in order to present itself as an ideal recreational area for the Ruhrgebiet conurbation and to attract holidaymakers to the green leisure region.
